2020 and 21 have been extremely difficult years for many of us; as a Charity we have seen a significant increase in the amount of people that have needed our support; rising foodbank usage has been widely reported in the media and it sadly reflects what we have seen in Horsham. Throughout the pandemic we have worked extra hard to meet demand across all of areas of our work which has stretched our small staff team and volunteers to capacity.

We have adapted our services and introduced new ones during this time; Foodbank clients are now supported with budgeting and debt advice, in April 21 we launched a mobile Foodbank hub to take emergency food to the rural areas of Horsham District, there is now a fund to support those who have been evicted and we have created school uniform & toy banks.

It is reported by the Charity Commission that 90% of charities have been negatively impacted by the pandemic with smaller local charities being most affected and this has certainly been the case for us with the stop-start of lockdowns and restrictions impacting on funding for our work. However we are continuing to see where we can add impact and very excitingly have now opened a new shop at 40 West Street – Love it again, by Horsham Matters, selling top quality retro and vintage items to fund our charitable activities. (Mon-Sat 9.30am-5pm)

We know that 2022 will continue to be challenging for us as a charity and we are grateful for your support more than ever.
